High impact and flawless delivery for ESAB's greatest show.

Every four years, the Schweissen and Schneiden (Welding and Cutting) exhibition in Essen stages the industry's most important shop window and market place. Originally founded in Sweden, ESAB is the leading brand in welding equipment, welding consumables and cutting systems with manufacturing and representation across more than eighty countries.

For the 2005 show, Tangent 90 provided all the multiscreen multimedia integration and computer installation for ESAB’s 1,260 square meter showcase stand. "Delivering one of the premier exhibition stands at this major industry event with 1,043 exhibitors is quite an undertaking," said David Paul, the then Global Director of Corporate and Market Communications at ESAB, "doing it successfully, in full view of all your competitors and customers requires excellence in delivery from all your suppliers. Vision 360, now part of Tangent 90, provided a flawless service, delivering content from 50 computers across 74 large format screens on the ESAB stand throughout the 7 days of the event!"

From the moment Tangent 90 received the brief we realised that thorough organisation and planning was key to delivery. The Tangent 90 team planned all the necessary infrastructure to run the event, including network and video cabling, software, hardware and content requirements.

Several contractors were involved. The stand was designed by Highway, ESAB’s Gothenburg based design agency, and constructed by stand builder, ICT. Screen installation was provided by DAV, also both based in Sweden.

Tangent 90 liaised with the various suppliers to ensure that the installation would go smoothly and that all the elements were accounted for. We also supervised the onsite cable installation and then installed, managed and maintained all of the required computer hardware.

Tangent 90 recorded in HDV the build-up and open sessions across the entire stand which was manned by over one hundred ESAB staff. The edited results were produced on a post event DVD for distribution to the client’s worldwide operations.

ESAB recognised the contribution of the Tangent 90 team with a award for 'an outstanding contribution to the success of the stand' presented at a post event celebration attended by over one hundred ESAB staff and contributing contractors.
