Online CME Training:
Bristol-Myers Squibb

Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Training Resource for Bristol-Myers Squibb.
The Challenge
In partnership with Innovex Medical Communications, develop an online training resource for doctors specialising in PAD and cardiovascular
events. Tangent 90's specific challenge was to provide the technical platform to showcase the training materials which comprised of
video interviews of medics and presentation slides of key data and research. A core goal of the project was to gain CME accreditation
for the training resource as a way to increase uptake of the training programme amongst the target audience.
The Strategy
Tangent 90 proposed using our existing online training platform for the core presentation material which combines video interviews with assisting
PowerPoint data slides. However, the system was modified specifically for this training resource to allow an audience response mechanism
to be incorporated into the presentation material, thereby gaining valuable data. Tangent 90 also proposed using a linear delivery method
to ensure users watched all training material in the relevant order. To achieve CME accreditation it was agreed to adopt a pre and post
assessment and to make the questions interactive rather than multiple choice based.
The Result
A CME accredited online training resource with interactive pre and post assessments accessible via the European Federation of Internal
Medicine website. The success of the first module has since led to the development of 3 further modules specialising in other key areas
of PAD.
