EAACI Allergy Webcast Site for UCB
The Challenge
In partnership with Aurora Communications, Tangent 90 were asked to develop an online training platform for medical
professionals specialising in allergy management. The training material would be captured during the June 2008 EAACI
symposium where key speakers were asked to discuss the latest developements in key areas of allergy treatment. The
training footage would need to be accessible by doctors and healthcare professionals only.
The Strategy
Tangent 90 proposed using the standard ezpresenter platform where video footage can be synchronised with key speaker
slide sets to re-enact a presentation. The ezpresenter platform had the added benefit of being accessible 24 hours a
day and the flexibility to choose specific speakers or jump to key parts of each speakers presentation. The training
material itself also needed to be protected and it was recommeded that a registration and login system was used to
ensure only medical professionals could access the video based training resource.
The Result
An online training website for medical professionals specialising in allergy treatment. The training website consisted
of 4 webcasts from 4 medical specialists, attracting an audience of over 200 medical professionals for each presentation.
Over 10,000 minutes of training content was viewed during the 4 month period that the site was active.
